The fastest of the two heat winners backed up a strong performance on Tuesday night for more success for Euroley couple Ellen Bartley and Blake Jones.
Resuming from a spell, Bartley is thrilled with how the three-year-old has come back.
"I'm very happy with the little man and he pulled up good too," Bartley said. "He had to do a bit of work but still found enough at the end.
"Blake said he wasn't going to let the others back past him so he did it the tough way but he got the job done."
Forever Yin ($1.60) drifted back at the start from barrier two before making a mid race move to sit outside leader and fellow heat winner Harry Ovens ($2.30).
However he had too much on his rival going on to win by 3.4 metres in a mile rate of 1:58.7 for the 2150 metres.
It took 0.2 seconds off the mark set by Clumlee in the 2016 edition of the feature race.
The record, which came days after Monterei Heaven set a new mark for the 1750 metres, added to Bartley's pleasure.
The couple are now eying a three-year-old race at Menangle before the attempt to plan for a Vicbred Super Series assault after Forever Yin qualified for the group one final last season.
However border restrictions remain a concern.
"They are meant to be opening soon but whether or not they let us race down there and come back we will have to see," she said.
Bartley was also thrilled to win with stable favourite Tygerphinn earlier in the night.
It was his sixth win for the stable and coming up a half head short on Tuesday.
"The little champion is just the best and I just love him," Bartley said. "He just pays his own way and every time he goes already he usually picks up a cheque so I'm sure everyone would love to have one like him."
Bartley was concerned when he landed outside the leader from his wide alley before taking a comfortable win.
"When I landed in the chair I was a little bit worried as he raced there once at Temora and went super but then other times he hasn't done much," she said. "However it all just suited him perfectly and he ran away from them.
The couple also finished second with Heza Blaster in the other final of the night with the maiden won by Golden Zara.
