The Bulldogs fell 47 runs short of their target last week but Perry was pleased with a number of performances.
"We let ourselves down with the bat but there were plenty of good things to come from it as well," Perry said.
"Charlie Cull was really good in his first game and it probably helped that he wasn't part of what has happened previously in terms of our batting slumps.
"There was nothing in the back of his head that thought about it as he is quite a confident lad and just went out there and batted how he bats.
"Ethan (Perry) started well and it definitely came with training, as he trains his heart out.
"He couldn't rein himself in, which was disappointing, but the way he got off to a flyer it would have been good if he kept going."
Wagga RSL will take an unchanged line up into their clash with St Michaels at Wagga Cricket Ground on Saturday.
