Reports of a man following a child on her walk have led police to appeal for information from anyone in the area who may know more.

About 10.30am on Monday, a 15-year-old girl was walking along Madang Street, Ashmont, when a man driving a grey 4WD stopped to speak to her.
Police have been told the man followed her for a short distance before she turned onto Lae Avenue and lost sight of him and his car.
The incident was reported to officers from Riverina Police District who commenced an investigation.
As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 30 and 40, of solid build, with a red beard. At the time, he was wearing a dark coloured hat and collared shirt.
Police are appealing for anyone who might have been in the Ashmont area today and either saw the car or has dashcam footage, to come forward.
