A MAN has died after his motorcycle collided with a car in the Riverina region early this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Batlow Road, Batlow, at about 6.30 am on Sunday when a Kawasaki 650 motorcycle travelling north collided with a Mazda BT50 utility travelling in the opposite direction.
NSW Ambulance paramedics performed CPR on the 40-year-old man who was driving the motorcycle, but were unable to revive him.
The Mazda driver, a 55-year-old man, was not injured in the crash near Old Tumbarumba Road, but was taken to Batlow Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

Officers attached to the Riverina Police District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner after the 40-year-old died at the scene.
