Operation Stock Check occurred in Deniliquin on Thursday with help from the NSW Police Highway Patrol division and Roads and Maritime Services heavy vehicle inspectors.
Eight tickets were issued relating to vehicle mass compliance, two for not possessing accurate transport stock statements and one was given to a 46-year-old man for not having the right licence to drive his medium rigid truck.

"Police were extremely happy with general compliance during the operations," Murray River Police District said.
"A total of 48 vehicles were stopped with two infringement notices issued for not possess accurate transport stock statements.
"A male new to the Agriculture Industry on his maiden voyage was given a warning and provided education by RCI's and LLS on the requirements of transporting livestock."
