Officers attached to the Riverina Highway Patrol Command's Cootamundra unit were conducting mobile patrols along Burley Griffin Way at about 4.40pm on Thursday, October 22.
A vehicle was ordered to pull over between Stockbingal and Wallendbeen for a random roadside test of the 62-year-old driver, and after speaking with the passengers, police allegedly found cause to search the vehicle.

More than half a kilogram of cannabis was allegedly found in the boot of the man's car as a result, with a total wholesale value of about $5000 and a street value of approximately $11,500.
The 62-year-old was arrested and taken to Cootamundra Police Station, where he was charged with possessing and supplying a prohibited drug. He was granted bail to appear at Cootamundra Local Court.
