Ms McKay claimed that Ms Berejiklian's should have declared her relationship on the Parliament pecuniary interests form due to her interview with a Sunday newspaper, in which Ms Berejiklian said she "loved" Mr Maguire and had hoped to marry him.
Ms Berejiklian has denied these claims.
In radio interviews on Monday morning, Ms Berejiklian described her relationship with Mr Maguire in less committed terms.
"He wasn't my boyfriend, he wasn't anything of note. I certainly hoped he would be," Ms Berejiklian told 2GB and told KIIS she did not inform her parents about Mr Maguire as the relationship was not "going to go somewhere".
In response to the three interviews, Ms McKay said there were "far too many inconsistencies in the stories the Premier is telling".
"I think the ministerial code of conduct is pretty clear in the disclosure of relationships and I think now the Premier has said she was in love and planning to marry Daryl Maguire, it's clear she had a legal obligation to disclose that relationship," Mr McKay said.
Ms Berejiklian said had been "honest" in her interviews on "how I felt" about her former relationship with Mr Maguire and it was "incorrect" to claim she had breached the ministerial code of conduct
Ms Berejiklian's "close personal relationship" with Mr Maguire between 2015 and August 2020 was revealed last week at the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) inquiry.
Mr Maguire has since admitted to ICAC that he misused his public office for personal gain and claimed his relationship with Ms Berejiklian started in 2014, as best he could recall.
Ms Berejiklian has not been accused of wrongdoing by ICAC and said on a late morning COVID-19 press conference that Mr Maguire's alleged conduct was "beyond comprehension".
"There is absolutely no accusation of wrongdoing against me," she said.
