The Hawks head into Sunday's major semi-final against Leeton having not lost a game all season, only losing their points on one occasion for allegedly playing a suspended player.
A couple of teams were able to share the points with Henwood Park but no team has been able to defeat them and Elphick is happy with how his team is heading into finals.
"We haven't backed down from the way we've been playing, we've played the same game that we've always played," Elphick said.
"We've got a few back up plans, just in case. We know it's going to be a tough game but we'll just stick to the game plan, the task at hand and play football.
"We've gone undefeated all season."
Henwood Park are the only team to beat Leeton United this season, and they did it in emphatic style away from home.
They trounced Leeton 5-2 on their home turf. But Elphick has not let that result change his view on the opposition.
"I've said this right from the start, Leeton was going to be the team to beat," he said.
"We're playing them so lets get it done."
Elphick identified four main men from Leeton that he believes will need to be nullified for the Hawks to get the job done at Rawlings Park on Sunday.
"We know this is going to be a tough game, and we've been preparing for it," he said.
"We beat them last time so they're going to come out guns blazing, but we're prepared.
"We've just got to watch the four main players of Leeton. Raso, the Gardner boys and their centre back."
Henwood Park's chances of moving straight through to the grand final have been boosted by the availability of a full squad.
The loss of the three points for playing Dillon Blackwool against Lake Albert rocked Henwood Park mid-season.
It cost the Hawks top spot and a perfect season but Elphick is certain it is something his squad has moved on from as finals approach.
"We've moved forward," he said.
"It's just one of those things, you move forward and keep going. That's what the board's there for, they're worrying about it, doing what they've got to do.
"We just play. The players play, I coach and we just get the job done."
Heading into finals, Elphick is proud of the job his team has done to get to this point, in his first season in charge of the club's Pascoe Cup team.
"The guys have done well," he said.
"They're the only Wagga team that's in the final four so they've done well. The guys have played hard, they've played good football, everyone's in and they all seem ready to go."
The two Pascoe Cup games will be played at the later timeslot of 4pm on Sunday.
The Hawks will take on Leeton at Rawlings Park Four, while Hanwood and Young will play on Rawlings Park one.
