Finals get underway this weekend of Football Wagga's Cup competitions with all games to be held at Rawlings Park.
A QR scanning system will be introduced at grounds from this weekend, making it easier to police and track who attends games, and something that will pave the way for spectators to attend the final two weeks of finals.
Football Wagga president Tony Dobbin hopes they can work to crowd limits of 500 in the final two weeks.
"Because it is finals we recognise the ability at Rawlings to say no to spectators is difficult, there is more chance of it being ignored," Dobbin said.
"We had a meeting with clubs on Tuesday night, basically said we're asking you to discourage spectators at Rawlings, in particular.
"Particularly because its the first round, not the last round, we're asking clubs to discourage spectators just so we can get a bit more control on it but it's always been our issue (at Rawlings) of being an open parkland."
Football Wagga will use Gissing Oval and Rawlings Park for finals next weekend, before going to Equex Centre for grand finals on October 24-25.
Football Wagga plan on restricting crowd numbers to 500 for those weekends.
"It's easier because there is controlled access at those venues," Dobbin said.
