With the cancellation of key economic drivers for the region like the Deni Ute Muster, a new movement is calling for more government support.
Wagga's The Wild Vine winery has joined what has been dubbed the '#WeMakeEvents' Red Alert movement, illuminating their premises in red on September 30.
Co-owner Nick Shepherd said the red alert was an effort to draw attention to an industry in crisis.
"We have some incredibly talented performers, musicians and entertainment support staff in Wagga and it would be great to see them getting the support they need and getting back to doing what they love," he said.

The call for meaningful support hopes to find a solution for the whole supply chain, from performers and entertainers themselves to sound engineers, roadies, stage hands, hire companies, set designers, lighting technicians, wedding planners, caterers, costume designers and the venues.
