Two cars suspected of crossing illegally from Victoria into NSW at Albury late Monday night are being sought by police.

About 11.55pm, a blue Commodore sedan and a white Ford Falcon sedan are believed to have crossed onto the wrong side of the road on Wodonga Place, South Albury.
The vehicles then continued into NSW without stopping at the checkpoint, police said.
They were last seen driving towards the back streets of Albury.

Officers from Operation Border Closure are appealing for anyone with information or dashcam vision of the incident to contact Albury Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or nsw.crimestoppers.com.au.
The incident is the latest in a string of border breaches, including three Victorians fined after being stopped in Hay soon after midnight on Saturday.
The trio formed part of a total of eight people fined across the state for flouting the COVID-19 regulations.
