The netballers survived an almighty scare in a thriller on the court while the footballers were too strong for a gallant North Wagga on Robertson Oval.

Led by a best on ground effort from Jack Glanvill, it was a professional performance from Turvey Park to overcome the Saints 10.9 (69) to 6.6 (42).
"They were great. They're a delight to coach. There's not too many weak links in there. We've got some superstars but we're a fairly even side across the board and they're all fairly skilful," coach Dale Isaac said.
"They're all happy to share the ball around. No-one plays individually. They play as a team which we've been drumming into them for a couple of years and they stick to the team rules every week."
The Saints resisted some early pressure but couldn't stop Turvey taking a 15-point lead in to quarter-time after goals to Oscar Matthews and Harvey Thomas. The Bulldogs stepped it up either side of half-time and by the last break the margin was out to 33 points.
North Wagga, whose efforts were led by Jake Scott and Koko Salim (three goals), rallied with three last quarter goals but the Bulldogs held on for a perfect season.
"They're a good side North Wagga, they've improved over the last couple of years and they're pretty hard at the ball with some big, strong kids, so our boys were a little bit nervous before the game, don't worry about that," Isaac said.
Glanvill was superb all year as Turvey's 'general' in the middle while Jacob Cain and Sam Gash set them up well from half-back. William Voss also had a big grand final along with young gun Thomas who missed most of the season with injury.
Isaac has coached the Dogs for two years but insists 'they were handed to me on a silver platter by Tony Stratton and Russ Thomas' and said most of the credit deserves to go to 'a good mob of kids' who are ready to step up to the senior club.
In a fitting finish to the day, Turvey Park's under 15 netballers played out a grand final classic against Eastlakes-Mangoplah-Cookardinia United.
The defending premiers had to earn their third straight flag but were cool enough when it counted to claim a 30-28 victory.
Coach Mel Burkinshaw said it took her a couple of days to get over the drama and emotion of a heart-stopping finish.
The Bulldogs comprehensively outplayed the Goannas in the first quarter and could've led by much more than four goals. But Emma Devries and Ella Hale lifted EMCU in the second term and with Ava Moller impressive in attack, they played some superb netball in the third to hit the front by a goal after the whistle.
After a neck-and-neck final term, with plenty of pressure on every play, Turvey edged ahead by two goals as best on court, Cleo Buttifant, and Mischa Garrett held their nerve in the attacking circle.
"They (Eastlakes) played really well, they stepped it up, they wanted it and really put the pressure on us but the girls just held in there," Burkinshaw said.
"In the end it was goal for goal but they held on. I still can't believe it happened. I'm just so proud of them. But I'm so glad it's over too. I'm done now!"
Their win had been set up in defence where Lucy Barkla was simply outstanding.
The coach was overwhelmed by her players' efforts on the court, particularly when the pressure mounted at three-quarter-time, and moved by their support since.
"We just wanted that trifecta and to finish off juniors with a win. I've had the same 10 girls for three years and we wanted to finish on a high before they go on to seniors," Burkinshaw said.
"I was pretty emotional at the end actually... and I keep getting all these messages thanking me the last couple of days, it's so nice," she said.
