Takings, including a live stream offered at a cost of $15, amassed around $42,000, eclipsing the previous benchmark set last year of $38,000.
A crowd of around 2700 attended the day, with the highlight Gundagai's win over Tumut in first grade.
Group Nine operations manager Bob Hay was rapt with the result, particularly when a season wasn't certain to take place at all.
He praised the crowd for adhering to social distancing restrictions, with Group Nine's grand final day arguably setting the benchmark in that area this year.
"We're happy with how everyone's adhered to social distancing guidelines and have remained seated on the hill," he said.
"Dave Skinner from the NSWRL has done a lot of work working with authorities and getting a safety plan together."
