The forward was one of the standouts as the Boiled Lollies end their premiership drought with a 40-29 win over Waratahs at Conolly Rugby Complex.
Herangi was a late addition to the side this season but made a big impact throughout the year.
No more so than in the biggest game of the year with his strong work rate and powerful running helping the 22-year-old win the Rivcoll Olds Boys Medal.
However he was just thrilled to secure another undefeated premiership after doing the same with Cootamundra last season.
"It is pretty special but it is all a credit to the boys," Herangi said.
"This is for them as they all put in the work and I was just lucky to get this."
Herangi won a premiership with his cousin Darryl Hemopo last season and decided to join him and his brother Ritchie with Wagga City.
He's very glad he did.
As is Wagga City captain Nathan Seymour who was impressed by his efforts to help break their premiership drought.
"He's been unreal," Seymour said. "He was a bit 50-50 about playing but came to watch our first game against Reddies and as soon as he saw us run out, with Darryl and Ritchie having fun out there, he wanted in.
"He played a few games of second grade, but his potential was away above second grade so we put him in the first grade pack and put a cornerstone around him
"It worked wonders and got the medal he deserved."
