The gas reserves ran out on Wednesday night, causing problems for the nearby Riverina Hotel which was not able to serve up their usual menu.
Wagga Wagga Gas Distribution Network said the problem was caused by a "technical fault", and have since reconnected the network to the gas supply.
The outage affected 150 properties in and around Travers Street, and the gas company has since distributed instruction cards to residents showing them how to re-light their homes.
"Re-light cards will be left at properties and customers who are comfortable to re-establish supply themselves can do so by following the instructions on the card," a spokesman said.
"Instructions must be followed exactly. If customers encounter any difficulties with reconnection, they should stop immediately and wait until the APA Group representative visits or call APA Group on 1800 898 220 to organise for a gasfitter to attend."
