The Goannas backed up last year's Riverina League premiership with a 37-26 win over Wagga Tigers in the AFL Riverina Championship grand final.
Cole, 19, led a Goannas team that has a good mix of both youth and experience.
The energetic wing attack believes it is the connection within the group that makes the Goannas' team so special.
"It's just our intensity and team spirit," Cole said.
"Previous years we haven't had that same team spirit. We do a lot of different things together to really build that bond and I think it shows out on the court."
The Goannas beat Tigers by just one goal two weeks ago but worked hard and reaped the rewards on Saturday.
"Tigers gave a good run for our money two weeks ago and we worked really hard in the two weeks to break down their defensive and attacking pressure," Cole said.
