Just after midnight on Sunday crews attached to Turvey Park Fire Station attended the fire in the carpark of Jack Mission Oval in Ashmont.
Upon arrival, the firefighters discovered a white Ford Territory completely ablaze.
A spokesperson for the station described seeing the vehicle "destroyed already" when the teams arrived.
They told The Daily Advertiser that it took 20 minutes to extinguish the flames.
Police were also in attendance and will now investigate the fire.
Sunday's incident continues Wagga's resurgence of fires, particularly involving vehicles.
In late August, a sedan was destroyed by fire in Mount Austin, while a four-wheel drive was set alight earlier in September.
Meanwhile, in July residents of a Tolland unit block faced a late-night evacuation when a fire took hold inside one apartment.
