After scoring their first win since 2018 in their last meeting before the bye, Reddies repeated the dose against the Bulls to take a 40-28 victory
After firing out of the blocks to lead a 14-0 before Tumut worked back into the game.
They levelled things before Hamish McMahon scored to hand CSU a 21-14 before Phil Shaw levelled things right on half-time.
Luke Seruwaqa extended CSU's lead before Tumut hit the lead for the first time with Pat Logan scored.
However the Reddies had the answers as they scored the last two tries through Liam Krautz and Waisale Nayavulagilagi, after a through the legs pass from Krautz, to take the win.
Coach Paul Hood was pleased with how the team responded.
"I thought we were the better side for the day," Hood said.
"Midway through the second half when we got behind they still kept working for each other and scored two tries at the end to get the game."
Hood thought it was a real team performance.
After their drought-breaking win before the bye, Hood wanted the team to win their remaining two clashes.
With one in the bag now he has set his sights on Waratahs, who almost ended Wagga City's unbeaten run last week.
"After winning two weeks ago we said we wouldn't lose again this year so we've accomplished what we needed to up to this date," Hood said.
"We've just got one more to go."
Waratahs have won the two teams previous two clashes this season as they prepare to take on Wagga City in the grand final.
Hood is confident the side is up to the task.
"We are under no illusions they are a good side but we will get together on Tuesday to build a game plan to beat them," he said.
"They will be looking to keep their momentum going, and the beauty of them is they don't make mistakes and work hard for each other so we need to match that and do better."
It was a big day for the CSU with their women's team booking their place in the grand final after a 39-20 win over Ag College.
Ag College will tackle Waratahs for the remaining spot next week.
Meanwhile undefeated Leeton are through to the second grade decider after accounting for Wagga City 33-0.
The Boiled Lollies will be looking to regroup when they tackle Albury in the preliminary final after the Steamers ended the season of Waratahs with a 44-10 victory.
