Fire and Rescue crews arrived at the Noyes Street property at 11.30pm following reports of a house fire.
A Fire and Rescue spokesman said firefighters had quickly arrived on scene after police notified them to a significant fire that engulfed the home.
"No persons were reported to be inside the premises so the firefighters fought the fire from around the building rather than going inside," he said.
In other news:
It took crews about three and half hours to completely extinguish the fire.
"It was totally destroyed. I don't think there was much left of it from this morning," the spokesman said. He said the cause of the fire is unknown, but they will continue working with police to find an answer.
Fire and Rescue were supported by the Rural Fire Service, police and paramedics.
