At the delayed Southern Inland hearing on Wednesday night, the judiciary could not find evidence the Wagga City centre punched CSU opponent Brad Crawford in the 75-0 win on August 8.
However he was subsequently charged and found guilty of unsportsmanlike conduct.
"They couldn't find proof that he had punched and connected with someone but there was evidenced he feigned a punching motion and the fact that he came from some distance to involve himself resulted in unsportsmanlike conduct," Southern Inland rugby manager Jack Heffernan said.
With one week already served, Herangi will miss the clash with the Bulls at Conolly Rugby Complex on Saturday.
However he will be free to face Waratahs in the top of the table clash the following week.
Wagga City have been instructed not to talk to the media about the issue.
However the club is looking to extend their winning start to the season while celebrating their increasing Indigenous links with special jumpers made for the match.
Coach Ben Schreiber is thrilled by the club's support.
"It is unreal the club has really gotten around Indigenous round for us," Schreiber said. "We're really looking forward to it and hopefully the boys can go out there and play some good running rugby.
"Hopefully the weather holds out for us and we can put our best foot forward going into the rest of the season."
After comfortable wins in their first five games, Schreiber wants to see the club continue to build.
Meanwhile investigations are still continuing into the second grade incident.
A report is expected to be delivered early next week, stemming from an ugly incident at Leeton No.1 Oval on August 1 where a Leeton player is alleged to have entered the play and became involved in a brawl.
The Phantoms have already taken undisclosed action.
However they haven't released what it is.
