After a win over Junee before a strong showing in the loss to Gundagai to start the season, the Cherrypickers were well off the pace against the premiers.
Lachlan Bristow had a field day early from dummy half and their sloppy defence is one thing coach Nick Hall wants to work on during the bye this week.
"We were just off the pace early when they challenged us," Hall said.
"You can't say it was our big guys or our little guys it was all our guys. Even some of our edges were getting caught out and we just didn't defend well enough."
Hall is looking for the side, who now sit on the bottom of the ladder, to compete harder.
He believes the bye has come a good time to reassess where they need to be, and help freshen bodies.
Hall also confirmed hooker Ben Picker won't be back due to his knee injury.
