A 37-year-old Currawarna woman has been issued an infringement notice for illegal dumping on a stock reserve, according to Riverina Police District Acting Crime Manager Brent Fletcher.
The incident occurred on July 12 at Jones Reserve, Currawarna, with residents of the town witnessing a white SUV towing a trailer full of rubbish bags empty the load before fleeing the scene.
Earlier, one resident said they saw the same vehicle exit the reserve with an empty trailer, soon determined to have dumped a previous load of rubbish as well.
The fine comes as a reminder that dumping in a travelling stock reserve is illegal, and police will take action where required.
