Murray River Police District investigators executed a search warrant at a home on Henry Street at 10.45am, when they seized 84 bottles of a suspected illicit substance.
Tests identified the liquid as being 1,4-Butanediol, a drug known as GBL, 'liquid ecstasy' or 'fantasy'.
A 32-year-old man was arrested at the property and charged with two counts of supplying a prohibited drug (large commercial quantity) and two counts of possessing a prohibited drug.
He was refused bail and will face court in Deniliquin on Wednesday.
The arrest was part of Strike Force Horrie, a wider Murray River Police District investigation into imported drugs in the area.
Investigations are ongoing.
