The mercury rose to seven degrees throughout the day, the coldest maximum temperature for a July day since July 7, 2010 when Wagga reached just 6.3 degrees.
The record low temperature for Wagga in July remains 3.4 degrees, recorded on July 16, 1966.
Yesterday was also the coldest day the city has experienced in four years, with 2016 the last time the temperature stayed below seven degrees.
June 26, 2016 saw a top of just 6.6 degrees.
Locals can look forward to warmer temperatures and some sunshine for the rest of the week, with the seven day forecast showing maximum temperatures hovering around 14 to 16 degrees.
