Perry was named Player of the Year at a delayed presentation day at Wagga Cricket Ground on Sunday.
The opening batsman scored 318 runs at an average of 18.71 for RSL last season, to sit just outside the competition's top 10 runscorers.
His top score of 62 came against Kooringal Colts in round eight.
Perry also took 12 wickets at an average of 17.58.
The 19-year-old finished four clear of Tim Cameron and older brother Sam Perry in the vote count.
He was surprised to hold Cameron at bay.
"It was a great honour and a bit of a surprise," Perry said.
"I thought Timmy Cameron would give it a red hot crack but I managed to hold him out.
"It was a nice reward for the effort I put in this year but as a team we wanted to go a bit further."
Perry thought a bigger preparation helped him be more consistent.
Especially after getting in plenty of work with former Bulldog Josh Staines.
"Me and Joshy Staines had a fair few hits in the winter when we were both back in Wagga," Perry said.
"We'd have a hit after work in the nets but uni made it harder."
After starting university in Canberra earlier this year, the 19-year-old was travelling back to play with the club.
He intends to again this season.
"I can't see myself playing for any other club at the moment," Perry said.
"Maybe after we win a flag and playing in Canberra would be a bit easier but I'll play for RSL again this season."
Tom Perry, who is co-coach of the Bulldogs, was named Clubperson of the Year while Tim Harris snared the Club Allrounder award.
