Nick and Toby Murray trained with the Lions this week, while Sam remains in Melbourne awaiting a decision on the Victorian Football League (VFL).
Both Sam and Nick have committed to Williamstown this season, but this week lodged clearances to nominate GGGM as their 'home' club to play at when free of VFL commitments.
Nick and younger brother Toby are based in Henty and are keen to use the unique nature of the 2020 season as an opportunity to play for their junior club.
"I was supposed to go back to Melbourne from Henty today but Brooklyn has been shut down," Nick told The Border Mail.
"The club is trying to find me a place but with the cases going up in Victoria it's hard to say what is going to happen.
"If the VFL gets cancelled we will play for Ganmain. We played under 12s and 14s at Ganmain so it would be good if things didn't work in Melbourne.
"Nan and Pop are still in Ganmain as well so they would love it if we came back for the rest of the season.
"We're keen to play."
GGGM president Jason Hamblin would love to welcome Nick, a talented key position prospect, on board.
"My oath we are. 100 per cent. He's a ripper. He's a good kid and we'd welcome him with open arms," Hamblin said.
Sam, who played 13 AFL games at Collingwood before a drug suspension, also remains a possibility to play with GGGM.
"Sam's exactly the same. If the VFL doesn't happen, Sam will get tested, isolate until he gets his results and then he can come here," Hamblin said.
"He's not in a hot-spot at the moment. He's just waiting for Williamstown to confirm there's no season."
The Lions will play an intra-club trial on Saturday.
Meantime, Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes has lodged a permit for veteran big man Chris Willis.
Coolamon has also lodged a permit for Myrtleford defender Hugh Wales.
