The Magpies were hesitant a month ago in the belief obstacles facing clubs were insurmountable.
But after holding a meeting on June 12, the club has opted to "fully support" any competitions this year.
"Definitely, we are. If the league does go ahead we're preparing full steam for that," Magpies co-president David Pieper said.
"Things can change between now and July 18, but we're preparing to play with football and netball teams.
"It's still early days so we don't know exactly what type of teams we'll field, but we'll definitely be playing.
"We have had a few netballers and footballers ask what's happening, and with no news (for a while) you can understand some would have written it off before now.
"But we'll support the league if it does kick off, which is obviously the plan. If it does go ahead then we'll fully support it, and field what we can."
The club's netballers have won the past three premierships and had also previously expressed their concerns about playing this year.
"It's a different year and different scenarios. I don't think we'll be the same team we were for the last few years due to the availability of everyone," Pieper said.
"I dare say there'll be a number of people who will wipe it,but for those that want to it's good to have the option."
