Guy has moved to the region for employment and has linked up with the Demons.
Guy played 21 senior games at Mt Compass in the Great Southern Football League.
The year before he finished runner up in the Senior Colts league best and fairest.
Collingullie-GP coach Brett Somerville believes Guy will be an asset to the club.
"Jack came over here because he works for Landmark and we picked him up through Jarrod Slattery," Somerville explained.
"He's played a pretty decent standard of footy over there. He's still only young, 20 or 21, but he's pretty happy we're going to get a game.
"He'll be handy for us and slot into a key position down back or up forward. There's plenty of arms and legs with him but he moves pretty well.
"It's always nice to get one who lobs like that and he's a great young kid too."
The Demons have enjoyed strong numbers at training since the return from lockdown with around 30 to 40 at each session.
Somerville said it has been getting better with every training run.
"It's been really good," he said.
"The 10 a group was a worry but the boys took to it pretty well. You had to do different stuff, which is never a bad thing anyway.
"As soon as it got to 20, it's pretty well normal training without the contact."
One benefit of a mid-July start to the season is that Jayden Klemke will be right for round one.
Klemke was going to be a late starter as he works his way back from a knee reconstruction but will now be right for the July 18 start.
While other clubs are looking at a number of late recruits, Collingullie-GP is set to maintain the list it had to start the season originally.
"I don't believe so," Somerville said of any late recruits.
"Obviously the O&M will tell us if Nick (Perryman) comes back but other than that, we won't have too much change."
Meantime, the first clearances for Liam Frazer to Leeton-Whitton and Zeik Johnston to Coolamon have been denied.
