Riverina Police District Commander Superintendent Bob Noble said about 300 traffic infringement fines were issued, with speeding being the most prominent offence.
"There were over 130 tickets issued for speeding and a number of other offences including the use of mobile phones, which is one of the most serious issues around road safety," he said.
The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic meant numbers of RBTs conducted were lower than usual, but the results remained successful, according to Superintendent Noble.
In other news:
"There has obviously been a bit of a change in how we conduct RBTs, so we are a bit more discerning with that and a lot more mobile, rather than stationary bulk numbers, and sometimes depending on the situation, that can mean a more focused outcome and not just about numbers," he said.
The operation ran from midnight Friday through to midnight Monday.
Superintendent Noble also noted that licensed venues were also cooperative with Public Health Order directions and alcohol related crimes were at a minimum, "especially for a long weekend".
