Heywood enjoyed his second winning double in the space of four days when he guided Makaretu Boy ($31) and City Rogue ($2.80) to victory at Corowa.
It came on the back of a winning double at Wagga last Friday.
Heywood made the most of the inside gate on Makaretu Boy and never went around a horse on his way to victory in the Corowa Golf Club Maiden Plate (1400m).
He was able to dictate from in front on City Rogue to win the Mulwala Water Ski Club Maiden Handicap (1000m).
The most impressive win of the day was by Lady Brook ($1.75) in the A&A Automotive Class One Handicap (1200m).
The three-year-old filly made it two wins from two starts with another dominant display, this time at Corowa.
Lady Brook was slightly slow away but gun apprentice jockey Tyler Schiller was able to work to the front, and from there was never headed.
She scored by one and a half lengths, following on from a four and a half length demolition job on debut.
It was the second leg of a winning double for Schiller as well, who was successful earlier in the day on the Paul McVicar-trained Enconti ($3.30) in the Corowa RSL Club Class Two Handicap (900m).
David O'Prey also trained a double, with Dhiaga ($7.50) and This Skilled Cat ($11) both winning.
