An 8-year-old boy was taken to hospital in a stable condition after being hit by a car outside Sturt Public School on Friday afternoon.

A NSW Ambulance spokesman said two units responded to a call at 3.21pm with an initial report that a child had been hit by a car on Lake Albert Road.
"The 8-year-old male had abrasions to his arm, hand and face," the spokesman said.
"He and the driver were taken to Wagga Base Hospital and both of them were in a stable condition."
Police also attended the incident.
