In addition to these limits, the library has adopted several COVID-19 safety measures in accordance with NSW Government requirements.
All visitors are asked to provide their contact details, which are kept for 30 days in the event of an outbreak. Weekdays from 10-11am have been designated a priority hour for seniors and high-risk people, with the rest of community welcome from 11am, and from 10am-4pm on Saturdays.
All returned items go into quarantine for 72 hours.
To help make those items available for the next borrower, staff are encouraging all library patrons to make returns through the external chute, which is open at all hours.
For now, the library is unable to offer some services including computers and printing.
But staff are happy to assist with alternatives, including phone apps and other providers.
Likewise, while public programs have yet to return, staff are still creating and posting digital storytime and Baby Bounce sessions on the Facebook page.
One Book One Wagga's online finale was a success, with hundreds of viewers enjoying Charlotte Wood and the Riverina Regional Library's Amy Heap in a wide-ranging conversation about Charlotte's award-winning book The Weekend.
The interview is on the library's YouTube channel.
