The chance to run in a group one series in his backyard proved too tempting for Brett Hogan.

Hogan decided to nominate Roll Out in the Regional Championships heats on Friday after impressing following a spell.
It took the four-year-old time to find his feet in his new stable, but he's been able to turn his form back around in the past six weeks.
"I got him last prep and he probably was at the end of his preparation, plus he didn't settle in the best, so I gave him a spell and it done him good," Hogan said.
"He's a long way up in grade obviously and there is a few nice horses in there."
Roll Out has won two of his five starts since a break, plus has run a second as well.
Hogan is pleased with how he's returned.
"I probably drove him a bit upside down in a couple of those starts when I first got with against a better grade of horse," he said.
"Now I'm driving him quiet with sit and hoping he gets home.
"I've probably learnt more about him than he has about me."
Roll Out is a ratings 55 pacer in the heats of the group one series for up 70s.
He's drawn barrier five in the third of five heats at Riverina Paceway on Friday and will be looking for some luck.
However most of the more-fancied chances have drawn wider.
"Time Keepa Lombo is a consistent horse and always has been and Rocky Creed speaks for itself in that heat," Hogan said.
"I nominated him with hope chasing the better money especially after what is going on after this (with prizemoney reductions).
"Hopefully he can earn some of that nice money."
A large syndicate of owners is behind the son of Roll With Joe including some of the region's best jockeys.
John Kissick, Nick Heywood, Simon Miller and Blaike McDougall are all part-owners and Hogan believes they enjoy the different racing experience.
"They are all racehorse tragics really," he said.
"Blaike loves it and follows it like no tomorrow.
"Even though it is still racing it just gives them something outside of their daily thoroughbred racing and gives them something to follow.
"I try to keep them updated as much as I can in group messages and they love it."
Hogan also has Gumly Grey, who is looking for his first win since January, engaged across the eight-race card.
