The culprits are on the loose, and Riverina Police District detective inspector Adrian Telfer is warning commuters to be careful if they spot a rogue 2011 Toyota HiLux with the licence plate BNF007.
"It could be driving around town right now," Inspector Telfer said.
"It's very important for the community to know not to approach this vehicle, and if you do see it to call 000 immediately and to notify police."
The car was stolen just before midnight on Monday, and when the owner discovered it was missing they jumped into their other car to try and track the thieves down.
The owner spotted them driving away in his car in Tolland, but when he tried to give chase they did a U-turn and rammed into his car before speeding off.
The car was damaged, however the owner did not receive any serious injuries.
The stolen car was seen driving through the suburbs in Ashmont, Glenfield Park, Moorong, and Red Hill Road, and it tried on multiple occasions to ram into various police cars.
The police officers managed to dodge the ramming attempts and were unharmed, however Inspector Telfer said the officers were still "shocked" from the ordeal.
Inspector Telfer said the Riverina police force were pulling out all the stops to track down the two men and bring them to justice.
"We are a very, very large organisation - one of the biggest in the world - and we are calling upon all resources we have available to identify these offenders," Inspector Telfer said.
"That motor vehicle and the persons involved in that vehicle acted extremely dangerously, particularly towards police officers."
