NSW Fire and Rescue attended a home on Buna Street just after 9.30am after receiving several emergency calls reporting a house fire in Ashmont.
Crews arrived to large volumes of smoke coming from the house.
They were able to locate the fire in a bedroom within the home.
An ambulance crew was on the scene, and a woman in her 30s was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene of the fire.
Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire and hand the property back to the owner that morning.
A NSW Fire and Rescue spokesperson said the blaze appeared to have been extinguished quickly and remained isolated near the source of the fire.
