Quiet streets of Wagga's suburbs were awoken in the early hours of Sunday morning as police attempted to pursue a speeding driver.

At 3.30am, police were made aware of a car allegedly being driven dangerously at high speed along Red Hill Road near Glenfield Park.
When police arrived on the scene, the vehicle could not be spotted.
An hour later, police caught sight of the car again driving at reckless speed near the corner of Glenfield Road and Red Hill Road.
Police attempted to pull over the vehicle, but the driver failed to stop.
A pursuit was initiated, leading police through Raye Street onto Bruce Street and back to Glenfield Road.
The car then continued onto Red Hill Road then Dalman Parkway and Pinaroo Drive out to Fernleigh Road in Ashmont.
Police made the decision to cease pursuit due to safety concerns when the vehicle made its way to the Sturt Highway.
