The State Emergency Service has warned that there will be potential for minor to moderate flooding, which is likely to affect the low lying areas along all water courses and around Tumut, as well as the Brindabella and Goobrangandra valleys, Bombowlee and Lacmalac.
Residents in those areas have been advised to monitor the latest weather forecasts and be ready to move to higher ground if flooding occurs in the days to come.
With risk of flooding, farmers have been asked to move livestock and equipment away from flood-prone paddocks.
