Kissick plans to make his comeback to the saddle at next week's Wagga Gold Cup carnival after being reissued with his jockey's licence on Thursday.
The development comes three and a half years after he fractured his T-12 vertebrae in a steer-riding accident in Braidwood.
Kissick applied for his licence earlier in the month after completing 24 trial rides over the last three months.
He is now good to go.
"It's bloody good news. It's been a long time," Kissick said.
"I've been offered a ride at Wagga so I'll start off there on one or two and kick off from there."
Kissick, a three-time Southern District Racing Association (SDRA) premiership winner, will be based in Racing NSW's southern region.
He has been based in Albury for the last month after crossing the border from Wangaratta to make himself available for the southern region.
He also works for the Mitch Beer stable.
Kissick one was one of the SDRA's most promising jockeys and spent the final year of his apprenticeship in Sydney with the Chris Waller stable before moving to Wagga.
