After suffering from heavy interference on debut, Tiggerlong Meg bounced back in the best possible fashion at Wagga on Sunday.
Utilising box one, Tiggerlong Meg railed hard to lead and despite some pressure from her rivals approaching the turn from home defied being headed to take out the Happy Easter To All (320m).
Trainer Michael Finn was pleased with her efforts.
"I was happy with her," Finn said.
"She is still learning and is a little bit young to be starting but had a bit of luck and went good.
"It was a good start."
Tiggerlong Meg was last on debut but had a much clearer passage this time around.
After overcoming some traffic problems she kicked away late to down Pontiac Rush by 2.5 lengths.
"She nearly got to the front last time and got knocked over a little bit, but it didn't seem to worry her this week," Finn said.
"That is a good thing and she is the first one to race out of that litter."
The win capped off a good Easter period for Finn who had Tiggerlong Tonk win the group three Easter Gift at Sandown on Thursday.
It was his second group win after taking out the Horsham Cup last month.
Owned by Finn, Tiggerlong Tonk is trained by Correy Grenfell and has now won 17 of his 32 starts and just under $180,000 in prizemoney.
Meanwhile Ben Talbot took out overall honours at Wagga on Sunday with a winning treble while Garry Small snared a double.
