The city's six skateparks and more than 90 playgrounds will be shut under new federal government guidelines designed to keep people indoors and limit contact amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
A Wagga City Council spokesperson said it would be enforcing the new rules to help limit exposure to the virus.
"It's all about the health and safety of the community and limiting exposure and therefore the chances of spreading COVID-19," a council spokesperson said.
Announced on Sunday night, the new COVID-19 restrictions include a ban on gatherings of more than two people.
Indoor sporting centres, play centres and other public spaces are some of the other venues that must be closed.
Supermarkets and pharmacies remain open.
