Riverina Food and Wine Festival
Saturday, March 28 - Cancelled
The Riverina Wagga Food and Wine Festival was one of the first events to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the event usually bringing travellers from near and far to sample the region's top quality produce like food, beer, wine and ciders.
A Few Quiet Ales and the Great Australian Yarn
Saturday, March 28 - Cancelled
The last leg of the Brewer's Troupe pub show was to be held in Ganmain outside of Wagga, but due to unfortunate circumstances relating to social distancing and hospitality venue regulations, the performance has been cancelled.
Wagga Park Run
Saturday, March 28 - Cancelled
As part of the first ever global cancellation of the event, Wagga's weekly Saturday morning running group will be cancelled until further notice. Participants have been strongly discouraged from organising their own events amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
A Star is Born - Live Show
Saturday, March 28 - Postponed
As pubs and clubs close to stop the spread of COVID-19, the upcoming show to be held at the Commercial Club has been cancelled. The club will be processing refunds to those who purchased tickets already, but organisers hope the show is just postponed, not cancelled entirely. Those interested are asked to keep an eye out for updates on a new show time.
Cootamundra Bachelor and Spinsters' Ball
Saturday, March 26 - Cancelled
The 2020 annual Cootamundra Bachelor and Spinsters' Ball will not go ahead this year due to social distancing regulation, however the new date for next year's return event has already been set for March, 2021.
Hay Rainbow on the Plains Festival
Saturday and Sunday, March 28-29 - Cancelled
The last few days of the festival have been cancelled, calling off the weekend's yoga classes. The Sip and Paint event will also not be going ahead, with refunds to be processed and given to relevant parties.
Wagga Art Gallery Exhibitions
Saturday and Sunday, March 28-29 - Closed
With the Wagga Art Gallery closed to the public, a number of exhibitions such as Freya Jobbins: Return and Tree Conversations: Networking with the Wood Wide Web will no longer be accessible for viewing.
