The MLHD is continuing to encourage the community to participate in self-isolation "whether this is mandatory or by choice", in order to mimimise the chances of a local COVID-19 outbreak.
As panic-buying continues across the region's shopping centres, federal member for Riverina, Michael McCormack has re-iterated the prime minister's words regarding over-purchasing.
"Raiding supermarket shelves is just not on, it's crazy," he said via a video posted to his twitter account this morning.
"We need Australians to stay calm. We need Australians to stay very measured."
It follows Prime Minister Scott Morrison's words on Monday, wherein he labelled the panic-purchasing trend as "un-Australian" and "embarrassing".
