The unbeaten sides were due to meet in the grand final on Friday, March 27 after the last round of the regular season this weekend, but the coronavirus outbreak forced the season to be cancelled.
The Bushsows had won all four of their games in their premiership defence, while North Wagga enjoyed a perfect record through five matches in their inaugural campaign.
AFL Riverina has already made the decision that no premiership will be awarded this year if a grand final isn't played.
The biggest disappointment is neither side got the chance to play against each other. Their only hit-out was when CSU played a combined Saints and East Wagga Kooringal side after Riverina Lions forfeited their AFLW curtain raiser.
North Wagga coach Nathan Dowdle said he would leave the call up to the players on whether a grand final goes ahead after the AFL's suspension of play and training potentially expires after May 31.
"It's disappointing, simple as that. Especially for the players, Dowdle said.
"It (grand final) would come down to the players on what they're keen to do.
"I'm not overly concerned because I don't think it would be a fair indication. As a coach you have a game plan of how to map out the year so you finish strongly, which now goes out the window.
"The form compared to theirs stacked up well on paper and we looked pretty even, it would have been a good contest."
Dowdle said they had planned to hold their captain's run on game day eve in front of supporters and the men's playing group.
CSU coach Clinton Blake said it wasn't out of the question for a grand final to be held, but rescheduling of other fixtures would make it difficult.
"Obviously our girls are disappointed and we'd like to see it potentially go ahead, but in the current climate we can't do much about it," he said.
"There's a few obstacles but we'd like to think if it goes ahead we'd put a competitive team on the park."
