Minor premiers the Warriors went down to Saints last Saturday in the major semi, while the Blues won a thriller over the Turvey Park Reds in the elimination semi-final.
The usually strong batting lineup of the Warriors didn't score until the third innings last week and will be keen to establish their power sooner against the Blues.
In the semi-final only Montana Kearnes, Makaylee Little and Jess Swaysland had more than one safe hit and they'll look for more support from their team mates this Saturday. The usually reliable pair of Kristy Tenison and Layhnee Kearnes didn't have a hit between them and they'll be keen to rectify that fact.
Turvey's pitcher Paris Hall gave a marathon display last Saturday and will be expected to give another strong performance.
Veteran Amanda Gooden gave a wonderful display of leadership in both defence and offence. In the field she controls her young charges, while with the bat she leads by example.
Sharon Hall is another experienced player who has regularly provided scoring opportunities with her consistent batting.
In the outfield the Blues' Leila Wadley and Jess Wendt can expect plenty of work from the power bats of the Warriors. If they can catch as they have been, Turvey will hope to restrict the Warriors' scoring.
Young in-fielders Charli Hall, Sophie Gooden, Ruby Thornely and Phoebe Wadley all performed last week and will be keen to have repeat efforts this Saturday.
South has deservedly been the best team in the competition this season, but Saints showed they can be beaten.
It's a huge challenge ahead of the Blues, but they're riding high on confidence having won three in a row and with nothing to lose will hope to acquit themselves well.
