The Giants had a light run on Robertson Oval ahead of Sunday's Marsh Community Series pre-season game at the venue.
Their half-hour run was followed by the premiers and Hopper said, with both sides close to full strength, it's a serious hit-out.
"Definitely, they're a terrific side. They've been the best in the comp now for the last three years so it's always good to match yourself against the best," Hopper said.
The Leeton product is one of many Riverina footballers at the Giants.
The Tigers challenge is big physically as well, starting with ruckman Ivan Soldo.
The likeable Soldo was a late adapter to footy and now a premiership ruckman in a team full of stars. He only debuted in 2017 but doesn't need to pinch himself at being part of the Tigers' brilliant era.
"You just take it as it comes I guess. These teammates of mine, whether they be AFL or VFL, are some of my closest friends and I'm just happy to be in the position I'm in at the moment," Soldo said.
Sunday's game kicks off at 12.40pm.
