The defending champions secured back-to-back success at French Fields on Tuesday but it wasn't without a late fightback from Kooringal High School.
For the fourth straight year the two rivals went head-to-head for the Wagga schoolgirl crown with Mater Dei scoring a 5-1 victory.
Sports co-ordinator Nathan Irvine was pleased to come out on top.
"They are always close games and it has been a good rivalry over the past few years," Irvine said.
"We lose Paris (Hall) for next year so we've got the challenge of getting a new pitcher and seeing how we go then."
Kooringal's rally was halted after being timed out.
Coming into the fifth innings Mater Dei had a four-run advantage, and scored two more runs before the Kooringal offence started to get going.
They scored four runs to get within two and had a runner on base with one out remaining before the clash hit the 75-minute limit and Mater Dei were declared victors on the completed innings.
Paris Hall led the way from the pitcher's mound while Irvine was also impressed by how well the side fielded.
"We had some really good catches, Bella Storer took a great outfield catch, which would have scored runs, early in the match and Breanna Wendt took a catch at second base that turned into a double play, that was going to be another scoring hit Kooringal," he said. "They were a couple of highlights that stopped Kooringal scoring earlier in the match."
