Wagga RSL failed to back up a strong performance with the ball at Wagga Cricket Ground with the bat on Sunday to fall 37 runs short of the target.
Kyle Buckley (3-16) and Dave Garness (4-18) did most of the damage as the Bulldogs season was cut short after being bow out for 89.
Saints captain Beck Frostick was thrilled with the resilience shown by the side.
"It was massive," Frostick said.
"We knew from the moment we stepped onto the practise field we could do it and the belief and the atmosphere in the club really took us to get that win."
Plenty of Saints made starts with the bat, but couldn't go on with the job.
Batting down the order Frostick top scored with 26 while Tom Byrnes (23), James Evans (22) and Justin Ward (16) made contributions to the total Frostick described as a about 50 runs under par.
Buckley got the Saints off to the perfect start with his third wicket that of Bulldogs top scorer Todd Henderson (32).
Garness then ended any chance of a RSL recovering as he picked up two quick wickets for Williams bowled Sam Perry for 25.
Frostick was impressed with both.
"With Buckley I can tell it has been a frustrating year for him as he's been in and out and sometimes hasn't got the overs he's deserved but when we needed him today especially he was the one who started us off with three massive wickets," he said.
