The team won six of their nine games for the week, the highlight being a one run, nail biting win over Sydney East.
With that win and wins over the other five country regions, the Riverina was awarded the Shield for the best performed country region.
Coach, Sam Swaysland (Junee High School), was proud of all 12 of her girls but rated the play of Mikaylee Little (Wagga High), Anneka Piercy (Kooringal High), Leila Wadley (Wagga High), Alex Maiden (Kooringal High) and Makaide Gale (Kooringal High) as outstanding.
Wadley and Piercy were selected in the CHS Red state team at the conclusion of the carnival.
The CHS Red team will compete against CHS Blue, NSW Catholic Schools and NSW Independent Schools for positions in the NSW All Schools team.
