Budding new initiatives and long-standing projects were thrown into the spotlight on Sunday, when community members, students, and Rotarians came from around the district to applaud their community's collective achievements.
More stories:
The awards flowed thick and fast, but three people particularly stood out on the day: Jan Roberts who won the Wagga City Council Peace Award and Lynette and Brian Quigley who took out the Rotary Community Service Award.
It was a tough decision, with many renowned community figures being nominated for the Rotary award including Roslyn Steel, Peir Woon, Sue Hosie, Judith Foley, Peter Mckenzie, and Jan Farndale.
The ceremony wrapped up and the day ended in classic Rotary fashion: with some slapped sausages and a yarn around the barbecue.
