It was a case of 'three up-three down' in Saints' first innings, with Turvey pitcher Montana Duncan striking out Desi Calder and shortstop, Anneke Piercy, throwing out Gemma McGlynn and Kadison Hofert at first.
By contrast, Turvey's first four batters, Amanda Lenon, Sarah Stewart, Belinda Dennis and Kate Looney all had safe hits which enabled Lenon and Stewart to cross the plate before it was 'side away'.
Another three regulation dismissals brought about another shut out of Saints, but Turvey Park was also dismissed without score.
The shutouts of each team in their second dig was a preview of what followed.
With pitcher, Duncan, in good form, Dennis in hot touch at third base and Charli McNaughton taking fine outfield catches, Turvey shut out the Saints in their next five innings.
In the bottom of the sixth, Lenon had her second hit for the day and after a smart bunt from Stewart, and some opportune base running, Lenon became Turvey's third run.
Saints needed to score at least three runs if Turvey was to bat again.
Rochelle Harley and Tessa McGlynn both hit safely giving Saints followers hope, but a fine double-play by Dennis ended the Saints seventh inning and the game with the Reds winning 3-0.
Respective pitchers, Duncan for Turvey and McGlynn for the Saints were, arguably their team's best performers. Duncan conceded just two hits, whilst McGlynn conceded six . . . four of which were in the first innings.
The Saints will tackle the Warriors next round, while Turvey Park Red will play Turvey Park Blue.
